Portable Fire Extinguishers

Manufacturers of portable and mobile fire extinguishers are represented in this group.

Our duties

  • This section draws up statements and position papers on current issues relating to portable and mobile fire extinguishers.
  • This section supports the development of European directives. Particular topics include the European Standard for Fire Extinguishers (EN 3); the Pressure Equipment Directive (Directive 2014/68/EU); the Convention for the Transport of Dangerous Goods (European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road/ADR); Guideline to the CLP Regulation (Guidelines on the Application of the Regulation on the Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures).
  • The section has a joint contact forum to discuss common concerns, especially in the field of fire extinguisher maintenance and certification.
